Dental plaque is a biofilm, a colony of bacteria producing a sticky film which forms a protective shell.
This protective shell allows bacteria to adhere to each other and to the surface of the tooth, it also protects them from any external aggression.
Once the bacteria is organised in a biofilm, it becomes much more difficult to control.
RF2 is an ingredient based on rhubarb extract which has been identified among over 50 plant extracts that removes plaque. RF2 disaggregates the plaque and prevents the formation of a new plaque.1
